Our Story & Origins
Founded by University of Manchester academic Dr Amir Keshmiri, Mansim builds on the legacy of the world-class ManchesterCFD research group, established in 2011. With over a decade of pioneering work and more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, our foundations are rooted in scientific excellence.

As an experienced director of several companies, he is a qualified accountant with an MBA from MMU. As one of the founders, he serves as CEO, overseeing the company’s investment portfolio, commercialisation strategy, and all financial decisions at Mansim. He ensures sustainable growth, optimises capital deployment, and drives operational alignment to meet strategic goals.

Associate Professor at University of Manchester
With a strong track record in computational simulation, design, optimisation, and machine learning, and over 100 international journal publications, he shapes Mansim’s technical strategy, ensures scientific excellence, and drives innovation that keeps the team at the cutting edge of simulation technology. Beyond Mansim, he has co-founded several engineering startups, is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the IMechE, and has earned multiple awards for pioneering research and innovation.

Head of Business Development
Bob is Head of Business Development at ManSim, where he leads strategic initiatives to expand the company’s portfolio and capture new market opportunities. He holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland, USA, and has over a decade of experience in technology and business strategy across sectors including logistics, e-commerce, and AI. His expertise in B2B business development, and strategic partnerships enables ManSim to strengthen its competitive position and drive sustainable growth.
Dr Sorosh Mirfasihi BEng PhD CEng FHEA
Head of Consultancy
Research Associate at University of Manchester
He leads consultancy projects, defines modelling strategies, and ensures clients benefit from innovative, industry-focused simulation solutions. With expertise in CFD, optimisation, reduced-order modelling, and AI/ML-driven simulations, Sorosh holds a BEng and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester, where he collaborated with Unilever on advanced modelling for industrial mixing. He has since led major industrial projects including the Thurrock Power Project with Statera Energy, Cyient, and hydrogen energy systems with Powerhouse Energy and many more.

Head of Legal
As a qualified solicitor in commercial law and a member of the UK Solicitors Regulation Authority, with extensive experience in Intellectual Property law and contracts, she is in charge of all legal matters, IP exploitation and policy. She is also responsible for the investment strategy of the company and provides comprehensive legal advice to ManSim on corporate, regulatory, and transactional issues. In her role, she ensures the company’s strategic decisions and partnerships are compliant.

Head of Quality & Compliance
With nearly thirty years’ experience in audit, assurance, and governance across high-risk, technology-driven sectors. A Royal Air Force veteran and founder of PM SHEQ Consultancy Services. Previously, he held senior roles at a UKAS-accredited certification body, managing audit teams, verifying evidence, and leading external UKAS assessments. At ManSim, he oversees quality assurance, export control, and compliance, embedding UKRI’s Trusted Research and Innovation (TR&I) principles to ensure projects meet the highest standards of integrity and assurance.
Dr Pouyan Sardari BEng MSc PhD
Head of R&D
As a senior researcher, he has published more than 150 journal articles, and was recognised among the world’s top 2 % of scientists in 2020–2021. He serves on the Editorial Board of Heat Transfer Engineering and he is a senior Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham. At Mansim, he leads our R&D programme, particularly in thermal management, simulation, and systems integration. His current research focuses on thermal management of Li-ion batteries, power electronics, electric motors, and integrated heat pump / thermal energy storage systems.
Ensieh Malekan BSc MSc
Head of Marketing
Ensieh Malekan is an accomplished marketing strategist and communications expert, leading ManSim’s brand, growth, and market positioning efforts. She oversees marketing strategy, campaign planning, digital presence, content, and client engagement. Drawing on extensive experience in sectors including technology and engineering, Ensieh drives go-to-market initiatives, builds partnerships, and ensures ManSim’s technical excellence is visible and compelling to clients and stakeholders.
