ManSim Inc. provides high-speed finite-capacity software systems for planning and scheduling semiconductor fabrication, assembly and test. Developed with leading manufacturers, ManSim products provide factory-level capacity analysis, production planning, and finite-capacity scheduling tools based on discrete event simulation technology. |

ManSim X, for wafer fabrication, and TestSim X for test and assembly are used to plan manufacturing capacity and improve factory performance. By first building a model of the manufacturing process, users can try “what ifs” to test productivity improvements and very quickly analyze their impact. Semiconductor-specific, ManSim handles re-entrant flows, and TestSim comprehends the complex combinations of testers and handlers possible in the back end. Interactions between processes, equipment, operators and products are captured, as well as random events like downtime and equipment maintenance to provide a realistic picture of factory performance. |

Our Production Planners simultaneously optimize manufacturing resources, materials requirements and the order fulfillment process. MS/X Planner applies to finite capacity production planning in wafer fabrication; TS/X Planner is used for microelectronics assembly and test.
MS/X and TS/X Planner provide constraint-based production plans, quickly allocating finished goods and WIP to prioritized orders. While determining required start quantities and optimum start schedules, the software also identifies equipment, material and labor constraints.

MS/X AND TS/X OnTime are short interval, finite capacity scheduling tools developed specifically for semiconductor manufacture, assembly and test operations. With MS/X and TS/X OnTime, schedulers can use Gantt charts to determine the effect of lot scheduling sequences on equipment utilization. Realtime dispatch lists are generated for each work area and operator to maximize throughput and maintain priorities. |
